The stainless steel frying pan is one of those items that just keep lasting year after year. The material is so robust it would take a hammer to make any impression on it. As its name suggests it won’t stain making it a dream when it comes to washing up. No matter how many fry-ups you perform year after year this faithful piece of cookware won’t let you down.
As if having this hard wearing material was not enough, companies have combined it with other products to make it even better. Compared with other metals the heat transfer is not as good. So some brands have added an internal layer of aluminum help create a more even heat. Others have added nonstick surfaces which makes the cooking of items like delicate sauces more successful.
In my selection below I have attempted to include versions to suit most people’s requirements.
The first is a 12 inch skillet complete with glass cover which is induction compatible.
My second is for not one, but two pans with impact bonded aluminum bases.
My third selection is a large classic 14 inch open skillet with a helper handle. Being a larger size this extra handle, especially if the pan full of food is heavy.
Forth is a pair if the nonstick versions as mentioned above.
Fifth is a 5 ply SS sauté skillet with a reverse panel bottom construction to help resist warping.
