The product type I would like to feature today is the black undermount kitchen sink. If you read my post yesterday, then you will know that this type is the exact opposite to yesterdays. For those who never read that post it featured white sinks that were drop in versions. Sometimes referred to as self-rimming.
These versions are installed under the countertop giving a more streamlined finish. It allows crumbs and other debris be wiped into the tub without a lip to contend with. The black color is conceived to be more modern and can blend in with many chosen color schemes.
The countertop used with this version needs to be marble or granite. Or at least something that won’t rot. Chipboard for example will not last with water splashing up onto it. For this reason you should expect to pay extra when planning your makeover.
