It was during a conversation with a good friend of the family that the zero gravity rocking chair came up. My friend has been suffering with back problems which has resulted in her doing less things these days. Simple things like going out into the garden and enjoying the sunshine with other family members.
Although she has a favorite chair in the home it’s not really suited to outdoor use. So the conversation consisted on me putting ideas forward that would allow her to be outdoors more with the family.

She loves it and nowadays is as keen as the rest of the family to head outdoors when the weather is right. She likes to place a cushion from time to time under the small of her back for extra support. Another plus point with choosing this version is how easy it is to fold and pack away.
Of course an added benefit with her newly acquired garden seat is the comfort of the gentle rocking motion. Needless to say, this has attracted the attention of the rest of the family. Often when going into the kitchen for something, on her return she’ll find the chair occupied by the kids.
Even dad has tried to have a go but was sharply reminded that he was about to break it with his amount of weight. His will have to invest in something a little bit stronger I’m afraid, which might be my next challenge.
